My dear brother, Joe, I'll miss you so much. I thought you'd always be there, just like you were for Mum, and all of us, countless times. You were a great father to Crystal, everybody knows that. And you and Crystal knew how to, and more important, willingly took care of Mum all those years so very VERY well. Always willing to help me out when I couldn't fix something, or needed a hand, and with your glad-to-do-it attitude.
I'll keep so many memories of you Joe, not just the stand-out ones, but the every-day shared memories of childhood, youthful exuberance, and all the later years; the family get-togethers, picnics, milestones of births, graduations, weddings, and all the in-between years.
You're leaving a legacy; You were an extraordinary plumber, mechanic, worker and craftsman, finishing so many fine home projects, mostly by yourself and by the sweat of your brow you learned how by doing it!
Happy times when you were drumming in a band, playing your favorite (loud) music, fishing, and partying with me into the wee hours.
So it's super sad to know that in a moment, it would be even possible that you'd be gone from us.
I, your loving brother, and all of your brothers, sisters, Crystal, each member of your family, you're your friends, will miss you forever.
With great appreciation for who you were, more than I can express.
Your brother Tom

I am sorry for your loss. I had always wanted to meet my twin Joseph as we are about the same age.
In the late 70's early 80's, we were both employed at Giant Eagle, I in the North and your Joe in the South, some paperwork was sent to me in error and that is when I was reminded we had extended family in the Canonsburg / Vandergrift area.
My father was Edward who spoke of Uncle Mike and Uncle Steve but I only visited with them a few times at a very young age and we lost contact. I suspect that these uncles were my grandfather's John brothers and Joseph and I were cousins somewhere in the family tree.
May you find consolation in the good times you have shared with Joe.
Eternal rest grant unto him O'Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Joe was part of my grade school class at St. Joseph's School in Mount Oliver. The news of his passing spread to some of his former classmates. Please know that Joe was fondly remembered by all of us. May he rest in peace.
