ALEX PLAKIDAS Obituary
Of Franklin Park on Saturday April 2, 2016. Son of the late John and Mary Plakidas; beloved brother of Thomas Plakidas (the late Marina), Mimi Chester (Thomas F.) and the late James J. Plakidas (the late Elizabeth), Catherine P. Gust (the late Edward) and George Plakidas. Also survived by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Alex was a field artillery captain in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of Duquesne University. Friends and family received TUESDAY 3-7 p.m. at the GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10418 Perry Hwy., Wexford. Funeral services will be private.
