LINDBERG
HOWARD D. "SNITZ"
Age 84, of McKeesport, on Weds, Sept. 8, 2004, in UPMC McKeesport, born January 8, 1920 in McKeesport, son of the late Knute and Marie Huhn Lindberg; husband of Mildred Rickard Lindberg. Mr. Lindberg was a retired employee of the Menzie Dairy, retired District Justice of the City of McKeesport; retired from Allegheny County Night Court as a Senior Justice. A U.S. Navy Veteran during WII having served on the USS Guest, where he was the ship's boxing champion. He was the Past President of the Swedish Singing Society, Member of the McKeesport Masons, McKeesport YMCA Health Club, 11th Ward Club, McKeesport Elks, Teamsters Local #205, an avid gardener, a McKeesport Tigers Football & Pittsbxurgh Steelers Fan. Member of the Christy Park United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife survivors include his son, Howard W. Lindberg (Carole) of Dravosburg, his daughters, Cleo J. Elash (John) of Elizabeth Twp., Marie Kondrosky (Steve) of McKeesport, Cathy Gluscic, of Elizabeth Twp., Jackie Flajnik (Lou) of Pittsburgh and grandchildren, Howard, Greg and Brian Lindberg, Jason and Debbie Elash, Kevin Kovach, Stephen and Lacy Kondrosky, Amber Gluscic and Nicholas Flajnik; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Lindberg. Visitation will be Friday 1-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the WILLIG FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES 220 Ninth Avenue, McKeesport, PA. (412) 664-9178. Service will be Saturday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lola Turnbull officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Mr Lindberg was a wonderful guy. I remember when he used to sit and watch the Little Tigers football practices with me.
