Peter F. Warker

PETER F. WARKER, 86, OF BETHESDA, MD Peter F. Warker, 86, husband of Jane(Flanders) Warker passed away Friday March 30, 2012, in the Bartholomew House, Bethesda, MD. Born in Reading, he was a son of Peter and Esther (Otto) Warker. Mr. Warker employed by the US Foreign Service with postings in Prague and Fagreb for the US Goverment Aid Programs to Yugoslavia. Later he worked as the Washington Editor for Business International a New York Co. In 1974, he was named Director of International Affairs of the TRW Corparation, retiring in 1992. Peter recieved degrees from Penn State University and Harvard University. He served as a radio operator during World War II on several ships of the US Merchant Marines. He was a volunteer in GED and ESL programs at Little Flower Catholic Church and was a member of the Washington Shakespeare Reading Group. Surviving are sons, Stephen, Philip and Andrew Warker, and a daughter, Ann Martin, along with five grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Charles and John Warker. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 4, 2012, in St. Aloysius RC Church. Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery.
