Ray was my first boss at Central Hudson. I was extraordinarily lucky. He was both a great manager and a great man. He had a terrific sense of humor and he was one of the best teachers I ever met. Although Ray was usually the smartest person in room, he never talked down to anyone. Instead, he quietly listened while all the dumb ideas were expressed, then provided the right answer. I learned a lot about business and life from him. I hope Rosealice and all their children and other family members will take some small comfort in knowing that Ray had a positive and lasting influence on many people like me, and that I and many others will never forget him.

To the family, My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you. Ray was one of the most wonderful, gentle spirits that I've ever encountered. He was my landlord for years and sold me my first home. I truly loved Ray. I'm glad I got to see him at the Palace Diner last year. I'm grateful that our paths crossed in this world. A true humanitarian, and now his reward is in Heaven. I know he's there. God Bless You All.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
