Evelyn Hall Obituary
PAWLING - Evelyn M. Hall, age 90, of Pawling, NY, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2011.
Evelyn was born in Patterson NY, March 20, 1921 the daughter of the late William & Gladys (Smalley) Hiser. She graduated from Pawling High School in 1939. Evelyn married the love of her life, Royce R. Hall on April 14, 1939 at Old John St. Methodist Church New York, NY.
Evelyn and Royce worked hand in hand and were owners and operators starting with the Holmes Country store in 1940's, then on to the Hall's Tackle shop in the 1950's in Patterson, NY, and the Hall's Dept. store in the 1960's.
In her later years she was employed as a receptionist at Kiernan Auto sales in Pawling, NY. But most of all, Evelyn will be remembered for her outgoing and caring personality and for her love and devotion to her family and friends.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Royce Hall in 1986.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Diana (Bernard) Kessman of Sherman, CT, Deborah Onorato of New Milford, CT and predeceased by her son-in-law Michael Onorato. Her six cherished grandchildren Todd, Michael, Sandi, and Scott Kessman and Keith Lyke and Heather Leonard.
She is also survived by her 10 great grandchildren Gregory, Kathryn, Cassandra, Dylan Kessman, Justin Eastman, Lindsey Kessman, Noah and Riley Lyke, Owen Reighard, and Mari Leonard.
A service will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, 10am at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South St., Patterson, NY 12563 (845) 878-3161, Interment will follow at the Maple Ave. Cemetery in Patterson, NY.
Family will receive friends on Monday May 23, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evelyn's name may be made to: The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Westchester Chapter, 30 Glenn Street, White Plains, NY 10603-3254 & The Leukemia Society of America Westchester Chapter, 35 Orchard St., White Plains, NY 10603. She will be greatly missed.

EV WAS PROBABLY THE BEST AND MOST CARING SISTER IN LAW THAT A PERSON COULD EVER HAVE. SHE LOVED MY BROTHER DEARLY AND TOGETHER HAD TWO BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS. CAROL HALL MILLER MESA ARIZONA.

She will sadly missed .Growing up in Patterson and walking to Hall's store was so much fun. Getting our school clothes there .. All the Memories .. My thoughts and prayers are with the Family.
