HYDE PARK - William Leo Herskowitz, 23 years old of Hyde Park, NY passed away on Friday October 5th 2012 in Eliat Israel. William was born on August 31, 1989 in Peekskill, NY. He was the son of Risa Wolfzahn and Alan Herskowitz. William was a graduate of FDR High school and obtained his Bachelor's in Visual Arts from SUNY New Paltz.
William was a talented and passionate artist and musician. He enjoyed making ceramics and playing guitar. He was a member of multiple bands and had an apprenticeship in a ceramics studio. He also created websites and was a graphic designer for an award winning author.
William is survived by; his parents Risa Wolfzahn and Alan Herskowitz, his sisters Alexandra Herskowitz and Corey Briskey and brother in law Daniel Briskey, his grandparents Reida Herskowitz and Annabelle and Herbert Wolfzahn, his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandfather Irwin Herskowitz and uncle Ira Herskowitz.
William will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
The graveside service will be held at 2 pm, on Sunday October 21 2012 at Schomre Israel Cemetery on Lagrange Ave in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
