John Brooks Obituary
Ulster Park, NY - John Lee Brooks of Valhank Drive died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at home. He was 65. He was born June 13, 1948 in Baltimore, MD the son of Anna Brooks. John graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, received his Bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1970 and his Master of Science degree from Ohio State. He served in the army from 1971 - 1974. John was a Senior Programmer for IBM in Poughkeepsie. An avid skier, he was a member of the Trailsweepers Ski Club and was an active supporter of the Children's Home of Kingston. Surviving family are Douglas and Matthew Aho; as well as an extended family of friends. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue where friends will be received on Sat. May 31st from 2:00 - 3:30 PM at which time funeral services will be conducted. Cremation was private. In honor of John's love of animals and desire to help those in need, memorial contributions may be directed to the ASPCA or Children's Home of Kingston. We are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to come to know such a wonderful man. On behalf of myself and the caring staff at UCI, I would like to offer our deepest condolences to the friends and family of John Brooks. He has left his mark on all of us, and will truly be missed!

I only got to know John the past few years as a member of the Trailsweepers Ski Club.He was very welcoming to me as a newcomer to the club and to the area.John contributed in many ways to the TSSC.
He always had a kind word for everyone.He will be missed by so many of his extended family of friends.
