Pauline Raish Obituary
Binghamton, NY: Pauline Colsten Raish, of Good Shepherd Fairview Home, 89 years old, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Born in Ohio to Homer and Florence Mathewson. Predeceased by her first husband, Francis (Mickey) W. Colsten and her second husband, Charlie Raish; sister, Susan M. Taylor and brother, Edwin Lockwood. Survived by her sister, Beverly Boyd and brother, James Lockwood (Joan); daughter, Bonita (Bonnie) Beagell (Donald Jr.); sons, Michael F. Colsten (Leatrice) and Stephen A. Colsten (Pamela); stepdaughter, Annette Bell (Rev. Larry); and stepson, Carl Raish (Thuy). Pauline is also survived by 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Pauline graduated from Binghamton North High School, was an accomplished seamstress working for Noyes Draperies, and went on to achieve her dream of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband Charlie, gardening, canning and gourmet cooking to the delight of family and friends. Those wishing may consider a memorial contribution in Pauline's name to Brookvale Methodist Church, c/o 216 Colesville Road, Binghamton, NY 13904 or a charity of choice. A memorial service will be held by the family at a future date. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. Rev. 21:4.
