Elizabeth Ribble Obituary
of Binghamton
Elizabeth "Betty" Ribble, 93, passed away, Saturday, August 28, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Elmo Ribble; her parents, Thomas and Mabel Pompeii; great-grandson, Brooks Allen Ribble; brothers, Morris, Joseph and William Pompeii; and sisters, Antionette David, Mae Puglisi and Rose Heavey. Betty is survived by her children, Thomas and Faye Ribble, Binghamton, Gary and Michele Ribble, Binghamton and Norma Jackson, Binghamton. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Betty worked for many years at both Woolworth's and Fowler's Department Store. She was a longtime member of Saint John the Evangelist Church. Betty's family would like to thank the caring staff of the Susquehanna Nursing Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Sts John and Andrew RC Church, 1263 Vestal Ave. Binghamton. Entombment will follow services in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 1660 L Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20036 or the Alzheimer's Association, Southern Tier Regional Office, 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
