Theodora Mulcahy Obituary
Theodora Teller (White) Mulcahy of Windsor, 85, Went to be in the arms of the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from home where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Utica, NY to the late, Hugh & Gertrude White and also predeceased by her brother, Hugh White III. Theodora is survived by her husband of 53 years, Leo F. Mulcahy; sons, Michael & Carol Mulcahy of Jacksonville, N.C. Robert & Myreta Mulcahy of Windsor, grandchildren, Ty and Tate Mulcahy, and Joseph and Kyle Balch; and great-grandchildren, Otto & Alexys Mulcahy. Theodora was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes church. She was a very educated woman starting with graduate of New Hartford High School, then attending Bouve-Boston School and Tufts College, in Medford, MA., she received her diploma in Physical Therapy and also a B.S. in Education. Her graduate studies were from Cortland SUNY, Syracuse University, Ithaca College and Montana State University. She became the Physical Education Teacher for Windsor Central Schools and retired after 28 years. Theodora was a 4th great-granddaughter of the Honorable Hugh White, first settler of Whitestown, NY, she received the Boy Scouts of America, Silver Beaver Award, a Life Member of Beta Sigma Phi International Society and a DAR. She was very interested in archery, and won many medals and trophies, and volunteered for Myaka River State Park for 28 years with over 17,000 volunteer hours. Theodora was a loving and devout wife, mother, grandmother and teacher; she will be dearly missed by many. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Windsor, NY, burial will follow in the Knox Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, NY 13901 on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 for 4:00-7:00 PM. Those wishing kindly consider memorial contributions in Theodora's name to either, Tidewell Hospice Philanthropy Dept. 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL. 34238 or Lourdes Hospice 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850.

I had the privilege of getting to know Teddy through our church in Windsor. She was quite an impressive lady (winning gold medals in archery up into her 80's!), who had a very strong faith. My condolences to her family.
