Gary Pruitt Obituary
Vestal: Gary L. Pruitt, 59, of Vestal, passed away after a prolonged illness on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Harris Pruitt; brother, Randy Pruitt; cousins, Patricia and Diane; and his niece, Alyssa. Gary served six years in U.S. Air Force. He graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services in May of 1992 and a Masters of Social Work in 2006. He was a Licensed Social Worker who enjoyed helping people and was a consummate animal lover. A memorial service will be held at the Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Vestal, NY on Saturday at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to call Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Gary can be made to the Broome County Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, NY 13903.
