Mary Eret Obituary
Mary Eret, born February 25, 1914 in Pine Hill, PA, passed away peacefully at age 100 on Monday, April 28, 2014. She was predeceased by her loving parents who she adored, Anastasia and Wasko Maruschock, first husband Joseph Kovac and their son John, second husband Ludvik Eret, son-in-law Henry Tokos, brother George Maruschock, sisters Anna Senko and Helen Derzanovich. She is survived by her loving daughter Joyce Kovac Tokos, Endwell, grandchildren Henry (Kimberly) Tokos, III, Vestal, Maria (Mark) Rando, Endicott, Daniel Tokos and Scott Reed, Athens, GA, treasured great grandchildren Nicholas, Mark, Alexander, Kaitlin Mary, Luciano and Matthew Rando, Henry, Annie, Gabriel and Julie Tokos, sisters Elsie Matey, Endicott, Susan (John) Petro, Rockville, MD, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a retired employee of Endicott Johnson and an active member of John Hus Presbyterian Church. She was a woman who loved her church and being involved in various activities there, including the Women's Club, Beacon Club, "Holy Rollers" Baking Club, visiting the sick and serving as a Deacon. One of Mary's many accomplishments was being the only member of the church to live to 100 years old. Mary's enjoyment of making pirohi, kolacky and ethnic foods will be carried on for generations. Her smile, laugh, and stories of years gone by will greatly be missed by all. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 10:00 AM at John Hus Presbyterian Church, 47 Glenwood Ave. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. Memorial Contributions may be made to John Hus Presbyterian Church 47 Glenwood Ave. Binghamton, NY 13905 in Mary Eret's memory.

Wow, your mom lived to be 100---that's quite a blessing although it is sad to see her leave this earth. However, we know she is in a more beautiful place!!

Mary lived across the street from us on Mather Street. She always had a smile and kind greeting for all. Her apartment house was the best looking place on the block. We missed her so much when she moved. Our sympathy to her family.
