Dear Dick, Sarah and Kristen,
I'm so sorry I couldn't be there today for Michelle's service. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers and I hope to see you all sometime soon. Michelle/your mom was such a source of inspiration to me. We all have so many funny and wonderful memories of her--especially during our annual treks to Camp Kaufman! Those 4th of Julys were the best ever! Michelle and I called each other sisters--and we were. I will miss her terribly but look forward to staying in touch with all of you. Much love, (Aunt) Pat Browning

My Aunt Michelle was so special to me and I will always remember all of her great advice. My Aunt was always there for me. Michelle had such courage, strength, the ability to always make people smile, and a great sense of humor. She will be missed deeply. Michelle's love for Sarah and Kristen was undeniable. She protected her children and loved them with all her heart. I am sure that she will continue to do so from above. Sarah, Ryan, Kristen, Nick, and Dick...
I can not express how saddened I was to hear of Michelle's passing. I only had the pleasure of meeting her the one time and Ryan and Sarah's wedding but she made an impression to last a lifetime. You all have such a wonderful family and I am so sorry for your loss. To all of you, please remember all of the great memories and her spirit will live on forever. She is in a much better place now and no longer in pain. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sarah, Kristen, Dick, Ann, Annette and extended family:
There are so many words to describe Michelle - she was a very determined woman with a passion for friends and family as well as complete strangers as well as dogs (especially German Shepherds) and cats etc. Anyone that needed a helping hand and she was always there - So many memories - I can still visualize her recording Sarah's first words on a tape recorder or showing Kristen how to paint her first Easter egg.
Know that she would want you all to be strong and think of all the great times you shared with her. She will long be remembered for her twinkling eyes and her infectious smile and her total dedication to her two girls. She is now with her beloved father Dominic and I am sure that Heaven will not be the same. My deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved her.

Dr. Hockman and Family,

I find myself thinking of you guys often. I was most recently thinking of how Michelle was doing and how much I enjoyed our conversations when she would come into the shop. She was one of the first people I spoke to about changing careers and pursuing nursing. She had such great advice and I honestly think that if it wasn't for those first conversations with her I wouldn't have made the choice to pursue my nursing career. She is such a wonderful person and I'm sure will be having tons fun with my Mom and Dad up there :)

With love,

Dear Aunt Lolly and Annette, my heart aches for you for the loss of Michelle-your beautiful daughter and sister. Being both cousin and godmother to Michelle, she was special to me. She was so proud of her Italian heritage and I enjoyed sending her Italian CD's and videos. I'll always cherish the visits to New Hampshire and the wonderful memories of our childhood growing up in the Garruto family. Uncle Nicky, she is now with you again.

Dear Sarah, Kristen, and Dick. I am so glad to be the first to sign this book. I love you all so very much and I know time will heal our broken hearts. She was so special to all of us. My life is so lost without her, but I am praying she will give back to me, some of her tremendous strength and courage to carry on my life. I look up to the skies and I see her, I blow her a kiss and I tell her how much I love her and to thank her for all of her loving support. I promised her that I will watch over everyone she has left behind and she tells me she will never leave my side.I am sure my wonderful Dad was waiting for her at the gates of heaven. All my love forever~~ Annette Purdy(Proud to be her sister)
