Patricia Pointek Obituary
Patricia Ann Pointek, 79, was reunited with God and her true love, Albert, Friday, August 26, 2016. Pat was a very loyal person, generous to a fault and gave with her whole heart. She was a registered nurse for over forty years, touching the lives of thousands of patients with her compassion and empathy for whatever their situation might have been. Even after her retirement, she continued to care for family and friends whenever needed. Pat loved holidays and birthdays, never missing the opportunity to spend time with family, send a card or make sure grandchildren always found something inside their cards. She was well known for her Christmas Cookies and her brownies.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert, siblings, Dorothy, Lorraine, Katherine, Robert and Karl. Pat is survived by her children; Mary Ann and Ralph Monforte, Syracuse and John Pointek, Binghamton and treasured grandchildren; Lauren, Matthew (Dana), Nate, Andrew and Julia. She leaves behind brother and sisters-in-law, William and Shirley George, Sweet Valley, Pa. and Margaret Pointek, Kingston, Pa. as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends and her kitty companion, Pumpkin.
Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions in Pat's name may be made to Broome County Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street, Binghamton, New York 13903. To forward condolences please visit www.demunn.com. Arrangements for the family are directed by the DeMunn Funeral Home.

Please accept my sincere condolences in the passing of Pat Pointek an angel on earth . She was a top notch nurse that I am so grateful to be able to say that I worked with her. She was a great teacher and a great friend and OMG her brownies were the BEST!!! She was one hell of a lady and I am gonna miss her!! Thank you Pat for being you, an angel on earth !!! Love ya ❤

Mary Ann and John- So very sorry for your loss. I will remember all the fond memories of our moms(Pat & Josie) playing cards together. There wasn't a day that I don't remember them being together, playing cards and laughing. She was a great person to my two kids, always asking what was going on in their lives. She will be missed
