Robert Richardson Obituary
Robert R. "Cuber" Richardson, 72, of Vestal NY died of pneumonia November 25, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was employed for over 30 years at IBM and Lockheed Martin as a senior electrical engineer. Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sonia; their daughter Elisa (Richardson) Dann; and his beloved cats Obi-Wan & Padmé. At Robert's request, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to National Public Radio Services (NPR.ORG) or another charity of your choice . Arrangements made by AEGIS CREMATION & FUNERAL SERVICES, 196 Clinton St., Binghamton, New York.

Hi, I just found out about "Cuber". I worked with him as a young engineer back in the 80's or 90's. I was always impressed by how smart he was and how friendly. I learned a lot from him. Sorry for your loss.

R-Cubed was one of my mentors when I started at IBM. I worked with him for several years and will always remember his kindness, intelligence, helpfulness, and humor. My condolences to his family.

Wow, was very saddened so see R CUBED was gone. I worked with Bob on the original AWACS at IBM Owego a long time ago and saw him several times after that. I always enjoyed talking to him. I never forgot him. He really never seemed to change. He was a very talented engineer and a genuinely nice guy. He definitely cared about people a lot. The world lost a really great person!!! May he rest in peace.

Cuber has been my best friend for nearly 40 years. He helped me cope after my divorce, and through trying times at work. I will miss him terribly.
