Edward Scalzo Obituary

Scalzo, Edward R.

Endwell: Edward R. Scalzo, Sr., 81, of Endwell, died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Tuesday, October 16, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Natale and Nancy and brothers, Frank, Angelo, Dominick and Joseph. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Bonnie Burke and her fiancé Paul Knapik, Endicott; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward, Jr. and Gail, Newport, NC, Gary and Leslie, Binghamton and Terry and Kerry, Norwood, MA; his grandchildren, Brian, Robbie, Kelly, Geena, Bennett and Andrianna; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Church of the Holy Family, Endwell, and a retired electrician with IBW Local 325. Ed was a volunteer at Our Lady of Lourdes Laser Eye Clinic and was a member of the Continental Fyffe and Drum Corps during his high school years. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of 3 Ross and ICU at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for all their kind and compassionate care shown to Ed and his family during his stay there. Funeral Services will be held Friday 9:30 a.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Family at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
