Sandra Roloson Obituary

Roloson (Markoff), Sandra J.

68, died unexpectedly in a tragic accident on Friday, October 14, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon E. and Elizabeth J. Markoff. She is survived by her husband David N. Roloson; son Matthew and Rhea Roloson; sisters Linda Markoff; Lorraine Markoff and Mario Palombo; brother Ronald and Rosemary Markoff; niece Alycia Senisi; nephew Aaron Markoff; step sons Scott and Sharyl Roloson, Brian and Debbie Roloson, Glenn and Kris Roloson, Jeffrey and Nicki Roloson; 8 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; brother in laws James and Marie Roloson; Bruce Roloson. Sandra graduated from Johnson City High School, attended Oneonta College and Ridley Lowell. She was a co-owner, the secretary and treasurer of Progressive Tool Company, Inc., enjoyed traveling, gardening, canning and was an avid reader of Christian literature. Sandra was a member of the First Assembly of God in Binghamton, but most recently was an active member of the Windsor Free Methodist Church where she was always greeting people and making them feel welcomed. All those who knew Sandra know she loved the Lord and that was reflected in her love for people. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and spending time with her family, especially at the holidays. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00am, at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City, with her Pastor Kevin Rollo officiating. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 4-7pm, at the Barber Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sandra's memory to her church, Windsor Free Methodist Church, 56 Chapel St, Windsor, NY

My heart and prayers go out to Sandra's family. Having worked with her for over 10 years, we developed a nice friendship and often shared family stories. It made the business end of our relationship 'fun'. I will miss her terribly.

David, Matthew, Linda and Family--

I just found out about Sandra and am praying for your peace and comfort. We had so many good times together... She was with me at Lord's Hill when I was baptized; she was with me when I had surgery and my husband was away on business. We spent many years together on the first pew at First Assembly listening to Pastor Piedmonte. Even though we were physically separated by distance, we regularly kept in touch. I am blessed to have counted her as my dear friend.

I was so sad to read about Sandra's tragic passing. I knew Sandra for many years as her hygienist and because I was recently diagnosed with cancer and stopped working, I was never able to say goodbye. She always spoke so fondly of her family, especially of the recent marriage of her son and their missionary adventures abroad. She counseled me through some difficult times in my life, educating me about the power of Gods love and mercy. My condolences on your sudden loss of a wonderful person to the entire family.

Dear Dave and family,

We are sorry to hear of your loss. Sandy was a special lady. We first came to know her at First Assembly of God through her ministry to our daughter. I also greatly appreciated her kindness and friendship during the year that I had to remain in New York while Bob went to school in Texas.

May God comfort and sustain you now and in the days ahead.

Prayers and condolences to Sandra's family. Sandra was like a sister to me, we met in the square dance world over thirty five years ago and tour the land where Christ walked the streets, the Middle East. There they thought we were blood sisters. The first impression on meeting her was to love her instantly by everyone! Her passing will leave empty space in my heart. Carol

Our hearts are heavy with sadness. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dave, Matt and the rest of your family. Never in the 30+ years we have known Sandy have we ever met a more beautiful, kinder or gentler soul. She lived her life as an example to all, of what a life lived for Jesus Christ should resemble. I know you are not "resting in peace" dear friend, you are dancing, singing and praising in the presence of God at the most splendid " Welcome Home" celebration God's universe could ever know.
