Cassandra Cortright Obituary
Cassandra "Cassie" (Haner) Cortright, 69, of Candor passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by her family. Cassie was born, April 6, 1947 to the late Ralph L. and Edna Mae (Blackman) Haner. Besides her parents, Cassie was predeceased by her son, Tommy Cortright. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Sam Cortright; daughter and son-in-law, Susanne and Brent Chaffee; son, John Cortright; two grandsons, Connor Morgan, Alex Morgan; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven (Janice), Scott and Sherry, Doug and Nancy, Ben; sister, Deena; sister-in-law, Cathi Haner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cassie retired from Cornell University Athletic Department. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bostwick Gallery, 1121 Route 96, Candor. Memorial contributions may be made in Cassie Cortright's memory to the Candor Emergency Squad, P.O. Box , Candor, NY 13743. Condolences may be made to Cassie's family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.

I was so sorry to hear of Cassie's passing. Like the rest of the Haner clan, she treated me and my children as one of you and we loved her like an aunt. I hope you are able to find comfort in your happy memories and knowing she is with Edna and Tommy and Ralph again. I am so sorry for your loss and sending love to all of you, especially Susie and Sam.
