Bobbie Lind Obituary

Passed away in Santa Rosa on Monday, August 23, 2010. Born in Petaluma on April 26, 1928, she was the daughter of Manuel and Nellie Swain Figueira. Bobbie is lovingly survived by her twins Donna L. Rhodes (Chuck) of Sacramento and Donald L. Lind (Jessica) of Santa Rosa; and adored grandchildren Austen and Evan Lind and Scott and Jennifer Rhodes, all of Santa Rosa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Don, four sisters and three brothers. She was a past president of Santa Rosa BPW and a member of the Sonoma County Press Club. For 19 years she worked for Levinger Advertising, a job she absolutely loved. She was a very kind and generous person, a very creative person, outgoing, loved to laugh and be with people. Her creative side also bloomed in her garden and flower arranging ability. Bobbie was devoted to her dogs, P.D. and Poppee, both deceased. Doing something thoughtful for someone else is a loving way to remember Bobbie. Friends are invited to attend an Evening Vigil Service on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa. On Friday, August 27, 2010, a reception celebrating Bobbie's life will be held for friends at 2:00 p.m. at the Rancho San Miguel Clubhouse, 2665 Hardies Lane, Santa Rosa. In her honor, donations may be made to your favorite charity. DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES 525-3730

Donna,
Your Mom looks so happy in the photo. That is a lovely way to remember her. It sounds like she had a fulfilling life and how lucky she was to have such a wonderful daughter! Her kind, generous, creative personality lives on in you.

She drove me to school every day with Don and Donna. I remember her kindness and all the colorful flowers she planted every year around her yard. I also remember she seemed to have no fear taking on projects around the house (or letting Don do them). She was a wonderful person that I always respected.

I worked with Bobbi for 4 years at Levinger & Benefield Advertising. I was the receptionist and she was the bookkeeper.... I worked with her, Lee Levinger, Jim Benefield, Mike Fitzpatrick and Carl Campbell from 1976-1980. I love this picture of her as that is who I remember her as - a very kind and sweet woman - beautiful smile. I can picture her at her desk surrounded by ledgers and keeping track of all the debits and credits the old fashioned way! She was a joy to work with during those years and it was wonderful knowing her. I know her family will miss her.
