FUNERAL HOME

Frances Scinto Obituary

Passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Lawrence Scinto, she is survived by her daughter Marlene Scinto, and sons Jimmy (Susan) Scinto and Skipper (Trish) Scinto; grandchildren Rodney Scinto, Becky Langor, Renee Scinto, K.S. Scinto, and Ben Scinto; and four great grandchildren. Born July 30, 1920, she was the daughter of Romeo and Adele Bertoli; sister of Augustina "Goo", and Romeo "Pud" Bertoli. Born and raised in Santa Rosa, she spent her entire life on the west side of town, fondly called the Old Italian Neighborhood. She never moved more than one block her whole life. She attended St. Rose School when it first opened, and was in one of the first graduating classes. As a child, she was raised on her father's farm, where she met Larry, her loving partner for 58 years. They spent many happy years working side by side at his nursery and produce business. We all share their fond memories of times spent with friends and family for over a half of a century. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Madelyne Chapel at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2930 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa. In memory of "Tee" and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, #1509, New York, NY 10018.
