Mabel Marie Smith

Entered into rest September 28, 2010 at the age of 76, surrounded by her family. Dearly beloved wife of 57 years of Calvin Smith Sr.; loving mother of Gerald Smith (Michele), Gina Cordova, Calvin Smith Jr., Marvin Smith (Kelly), Susan Smith, Gayle Smith, Matthew Smith, Nadine Smith and Billy Ogden; adored grandmother of 27 and great grandmother of 15; dear sister of Rita Carillo, Dula Olivarez, and Anthony Elgin; adored sister in law of Genevieve Castellanos and Norman Smith; also survived by her godchildren George Gosiak, Donnie Olivarez, Julia Navarez; and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends who she adored so much. She was born in Marshall, CA on July 21, 1934. She was a member of the Dry Creek Rancheria. She worked for over 24 years at Sonoma County Indian Health Project. Her hobbies included collecting Marilyn Monroe and anything to do with tigers. She was an avid 49er and SF Giants fan. She enjoyed going to the Indian casinos, but what she loved the most was her family. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St Rose Catholic Church, 398 10th St, Santa Rosa, interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
