Richard Lawrence Obituary

Passed away on November 27, 2010 in Sonoma after a six year courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 44 years to Carol of Glen Ellen; loving father of Peter Lawrence; step-father of Deborah Lovett and husband Robert Herreshoff of Upper Lake, Alice Higinbotham and husband Glen Ryan of Colorado, and Richard Higinbotham of Ukiah; grandfather of Elice Moran (Dwayne), Anna Rozelski (Robert), Kevin Lovett (Christina), Savannah and Lisa Higinbotham; great-grandfather of Ryan, Kyle, Lindzey, Ella, and Gavin; dear brother of Lorraine Iannone and her husband Phil; A native of New York, New York, age 72. He served in the US Navy as a Meteorologist, First Class on the USS Fessender. A member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Oakmont Men's Club, and worked as a Bartender for 45 years. He enjoyed playing Golf, attending Broadway productions, and was a loyal fan to the San Francisco Giants. Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass Friday, December 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 601 W. Agua Caliente Road, Sonoma, CA 95476. Private Inurnment, Santa Rosa Memorial Park. If desired, memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Leo's Catholic Church, Redwood Gospel Mission, or a charity of your choice.
