Teresa Heinen Obituary

HEINEN,Teresa Carolyn (White-Sechrest) Terry left us on December 11, 2010 due to complications of diabetes, for her venture into the hereafter. She was born in Oakland on December 2, 1942, and raised in Oakland and Guerneville. She is the great-great-granddaughter of James Morrow, who settled in Guerneville in the 1800's. The old family home is still standing in town. Since the 1980's she lived permanently in Guerneville in the house built by her great-great aunt Myrtle (Wilfred) Trine. She loved her home under the redwood trees. Terry attended San Jose State, majoring in Philosophy, and was a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Reading was her favorite pastime, and she was very proud of her knowledge of the English language. At one time she spoke fluent Italian, and proof read in English, Italian, and French for Wine Country Magazine. She also worked at the National Scrip Center for several years as an Administrative Assistant. She is survived by her loving mother, Hazel Glatfelder; daughter Stephanie (Tom) Conner, son Alan (Deann) Sechrest; five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES FUNERAL AND CREMATION CENTER, 525-3730
