Awilda Scott Obituary

Awilda Scott died on Oct. 4, 2010. She was born on Oct. 24, 1930 & attended Analy High School & SRJC. After raising her four kids, she worked at NCR and ORA. Awilda loved to read and listen to Big Band music. She was married to Frank Scott & mom to Jeff, Kelley, Lisa & Chris. She asked that her body be donated to UCSF for medical research so that others could benefit from her death. At Awilda's request, no memorial services are planned. The family would like to thank all those who came forth in Awilda's final days, especially her dear friend, Alice Murray. They would also like to thank Hospice. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family suggests a donation to Forgotten Felines.

I worked with Awilda at O'Reilly Media for about 10 years. She was one of the coolest people I'd ever met. One time she gave me a Koala hoodie for our son Matt after returning from a trip to Austrailia. We still talk about the photos we took of Matt, now almost 18 in that hoodie.

My condolences to her family. I'm sure she will be missed
