Betty Lindblad Obituary

Entered into rest peacefully at home surrounded by her three children in Santa Rosa, California on September 6, 2010. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn Lindblad on June 30, 2009. Betty is survived by her three children, Kathie, Eric (and his wife Judy) and Charlene (and her husband Bill), as well as her loving grandchildren; Josh (and his wife, Johni), Jesse (and his wife, Elyssa), Shannon (and her husband, Robert), Tara, Alex and Dane. Beloved sister of Margaret Spiewak and Robert Marr, both of San Diego, CA and Clinton Marr of Riverside, CA. Betty also leaves behind seven adored great grandchildren She was born in Riverside, CA. on June 7, 1930. Betty loved all animals, was an avid bird watcher, a dedicated homemaker, and especially loved cooking and trying new recipes. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and always gave her family her full support. Betty was born in Riverside, CA and moved to San Diego where she graduated from La Jolla High School. During High School she met and married the love of her life, Glenn. She moved to Santa Rosa in 1987 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Private family services have been held celebrating Betty's life. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be made to the American Lung Association of California, 115 Talbot Ave., Santa Rosa, CA. 95404. The family was served by Lafferty & Smith Colonial Chapel, Santa Rosa, CA.

Our mother was devoted to her family and particularly our father, her beloved husband, to whom she was reunited on their anniversary in the great beyond. Her passing has left us with a terrible void and we will love her always. May she rest in peace with our father.
