Catherine Bowman Obituary

Passed away this past Sunday evening, October 31, 2010. Her passing ended a struggle with cancer and she passed peacefully and seemingly painlessly. She is survived by her son Rob Bowman; mother Nancy Bowman; bother Donald Bowman, two sisters Beth Carpenter and Sally Bowman; and her niece Cherie Lubash. She was preceded by her sisters Susan Bowman and Janet Bowman. She was a graduate of Rancho Cotati High, class of 1971. Catherine was a loving mother, a dear friend, a talented craftswoman, and a joy to those who knew her. Though she was quiet, the people she spoke to knew how kind-hearted she was. She will always be remembered for her determination, strength, and artistic abilities. Private services will be held for close relatives and friends.

Catherine's finest qualities live on in the memory and life of her son, Rob. In college I learned about the concept that human life is a story told by God. And so it truly is. We grieve with all the family at their loss. With lots of love and prayers.

I like the memorial written describing Catherine as kind-hearted, determined, strong and artistic~~all qualities I have seen in her son, Robbie. In college I learned that a human life is a story told by God. And so it is. The best of Catherine lives on in her son whose life is also a story being written by our Lord. With much love & prayers.
