Clarence McClellan Obituary

Clarence Augustus McClellan "Buster" was born June 6, 1915 in Napa, CA to the late Dagmar and Clarence A. McClellan Sr. The family moved to Berkeley, CA where he attended Berkeley High School and graduated from Business College in Oakland, CA. He entered officer training school and enlisted in the US Army where he served in Alaska and Europe during World War II. He was a finance officer and served in Austria following VE day during the occupation of Europe. He returned home and married the late Norma L. McClellan (Garone). They had a prune ranch just south of Windsor, CA. He also started a successful upholstery business with his father called Macson Furniture on the same property. After he retired from the ranch and shop he served in the National Guard in the Co. D, 579th Engineer Battalion, San Rafael, CA. Buster passed away at the age of 95 on October 31, 2010 in Petaluma, CA after a lengthy illness. He resided at Adobe House for the past year. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma. He is survived by his son Bruce (Susan) McClellan of Cloverdale, CA, and his daughter Karen McClellan of Windsor, CA. Also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. At his wishes no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.

Karen and family, please accept our condolences on the passing of your father.Our fathers were friends through the Army Reserve. I have fond memories of a summer day when we, as children, had a taste of the working world by helping to pick prunes on your family's ranch. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
