Edward Fulkerson Obituary

Edward Stephen Fulkerson Sr. 80 years, died peacefully on November 8, 2010 in Fremont, CA. Born in Santa Rosa on Jan 20, 1930. Survived by adored and devoted wife of 24 yrs, Shirley Larson Fulkerson of Kaunakakai, Hawaii. Ed returned to CA in September to receive more accessible healthcare and to spend time with his children. His children will be forever grateful to his loving wife for giving that precious gift, a stunning act of love by a truly gracious and selfless wife. Ed was the father of six children, two stepdaughters; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. By first wife Barbara, Ed had three much beloved children: Edward Stephen Jr. (Karyl), Livermore, Donald Bruce (Lisa), Monte Rio and Denice (Edward Fischer), Lakeport; along with four grandchildren and two great-grandkids. Ed's three children with Beverly (Billee): Linda (d. 1990), Larry Mikol, Groveland, and adoring daughter Laurie Fulkerson of Newark, CA; all gave him eight grandchildren and four great grandkids and a beloved stepdaughter, Rosemarie Moscarelli of Somerset, KY. A widower, he and Shirley married in '86. Upon retiring, summered along the river, wintered on Molokai. Moving to Hawaii in '04 and fishing everyday. Enjoying their last years together on their beloved island. Stepdaughter Janice Larson of Bothell, WA , two grandsons. Known as Big Ed, he spent his life among beloved redwoods, hunting and fishing. A great cook and friend, he volunteered time in service to his community. Ed was a gentle giant. Private burial will be held at Fulkerson Cemetery within Santa Rosa's Historical Rural Cemetery. On December 4th at 12:00 noon, a celebration of his life will be held at Buck's Appaloosa, Guerneville. Join us for a BBQ organized by Tom and Sue Mobley. Raise a toast and spend the day with his grateful and loving family.
