Ismael Martinez Leon

Ismael Leon Obituary

Passed away on December 24, 2010 at his home in Windsor, CA. He was born in Mexico and in 1943 he participated in the "Bracero" program through which he worked all over the United States. He was married December 1954 and moved to Sonoma County in 1958. He retired from the County of Sonoma. He is survived by his wife, Maria Delfina Leon of 56 years; his children: Gilbert (Frances), Marissa, Maria, Miguel, Raul, Rudy (Bernadette), Elizabeth (Arturo) Pena, Bogar and Fernando (Mona) Leon; and 31 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren all of Sonoma County. He was preceded in death by his son, Alfredo Leon. Rosary and viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., December 29, 2010 at WINDSOR HEALDSBURG MORTUARY at 9660 Old Redwood Hwy. in Windsor, CA. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday at 11:00 a.m. on December 30th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Windsor, followed by the burial at the Oak Mound Cemetery at 601 Piper St., Healdsburg, CA.
