James Morris Obituary

Peacefully passed away from us surrounded by his loving family on November 11, 2010. His heart of gold stopped beating and now has joined his wife of 64 years, Glenna Faye, who entered heaven on August 29, 2010. Together they raised a wonderfully loving family which they gave so many cherished memories. Jim was born on April 2, 1928 to Alta Annette Palmer in Los Angeles, CA. After serving in the US Army during World War II, Jim and his wife moved to Sonoma County in the late 1940s. He made a career as an auto mechanic working for GK Hardt and Niles Buick. He is survived by his children Victoria (Lewis), Linda (Mike, deceased), Norma (Steve) and Chuck (Sharon); sisters Lois and Nellie and uncle Jay. He was the adored grandpa to six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Leonard and Richard and sister Janice. We were blessed to have him in our lives and he will be missed by all. Friends are invited to attend the Service on November 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Rosa Memorial Park, 1900 Franklin Ave., Santa Rosa.

Dad we miss you and Mom so much. Our family isn't the same with the two of you gone. Lew and I went to visit your resting place yesterday. Not many flags on the Veterans graves but we took some and put them on yours, grandpa's and uncle Bill's. I thank all of you Veterans for giving us our freedom which seems to be slipping away a little each day. I pray that isn't the case with so much sacrifice that was given for our freedom. We love you and miss you.

We miss you and Mom so much. Christmas Eve is the hardest. We are trying to do what you and Mom did every year, but it is hard. We still have the family tradition of going to the cemetery, now we visit Grandma, Grandpa, Mom and you. We decorate and sing. I know you are all looking down watching us. We love you so much and miss you.

Dad it has been 9 years since you left us. A day does not pass that I don't think about you. You and Mom were the best parents ever. I hope you know how very much you both were loved and how much we miss you.

To the Morris Family,
I'm so sad Jim is gone. He was broken-hearted without Glenna and used to tell me the house just wasn't the same without her. Jim was a good friend and neighbor and he will be missed. He had an easy going way about him that still makes me smile when I think of his great sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
