Javier Acevedo Sr.

Javier Acevedo Sr. was born in La Mesa, Guanujuato on February 14, 1951 and passed away at the age of 59 on October 13, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his adoring wife Adelina Acevedo, his children Javier Acevedo Jr. married to Silvia Acevedo, Gricelda Acevedo, David Acevedo married to Irania Alarcon, Ramiro Acevedo engaged to Cynthia Guzman, Angel Acevedo and his grandchildren Ariana Acevedo, Sebastian Acevedo and Anis Acevedo. He is also survived by his loving mother Jovita Duran, and siblings Teresa Duran, Juan Acevedo, Celia Acevedo, David Acevedo, Salvador Acevedo, Josefa Acevedo and Refugio Acevedo. He is joined in eternal life by his father David Acevedo and brother Antonio Acevedo. Javier migrated from Mexico to Healdsburg in 1974 and began working in the vineyard industry from which grew a lifelong passion for the vineyards he so diligently cared for. His tremendous efforts helped shaped Michel-Schlumberger Winery into what it has become today. Among his many passions, Javier was extremely passionate about soccer and continued to play with the same vigor and intensity as he did as a young boy. For those who knew him, there was no greater passion then the unconditional love he felt for his family and friends. He was a kind and gentle soul, a true angel walking amongst those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rosary to be held at St. Johns Catholic Church on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services to take place on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church, burial to follow at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
