Dear Aunt Lila . been long time since you passed away.. but today reading about the fires in santa rosa made me wonder if the moble home park that you lived in was the one destroyed by fire..... never was able to see you much growing up. but i know that you were one of the best aunts a person could ask for.. those long talks on the phone after mom died really helped ...... i miss you and cherish the love that we had for each other. ann

Lila was thrilled with her recent acquisition of a remote-controlled fireplace, and so generous in allowing me to visit it and take measurements, that I ultimately purchased one for my home. She planned and carried through with the remodeling job required to house the fireplace--and so did I. In sharing our common fireplace interest, I felt like I was dealing with a woman much younger than her actual age, a person full of inspiration and a zeal for life. I am also grateful for Lila's friendship to my mother, a cul-de-sac neightbor.

"You will always be the wind beneath my wings. You were just like a Mother to me, one of the most beautiful people I have ever known. I will never forget playing cards and the wonderful times we had. Thank you for being my dearest Lila and BFF. You are missed. With all my love, Diane."

Lila was a dear friend and I am sure will be missed by many. I was her stock broker for many years and I still tell friends of the day Lila came in and said "Joe, buy me a 100 Advail" She knew what she wanted and I thought it was great. She was herself a great lady.
