I met Mark in 1985 when I was beginning to change my life through 12 step recovery. Mark was instrumental in my early recovery, and a true friend when I needed one most. I have so many memories of him; his laugh, his smile, his tears. I know he will be missed by all whose lives he touched, as he did mine. Leslie Craig (Guerneville Ca)

Uncle Mark,
I miss you terribly today. You played a very important part in my life when I was elementary school. I didn't have a dad, and you played that role for me for many years. You took me in on the weekends with Aunt Janice and we'd hang out, watch movies, and have fun with my cousin Zack too. You came to my softball games (even though I was HORRIBLE!). Hahah. But you came. You were there for me. You supported me. You made me laugh and smile. You loved me. I will treasure you in my heart forever and ever.
I love and miss you very much,
Jen-Jen

Mark was a precious gift from God to me. We were both starting our lives again fresh, with so many dreams to share. We came together and healed each other with laughter and joy. He was a presence that changed my life and made me believe in love again. But then again, he did that to everyone. I will always hold him close to my heart.

Dear Jeff,
I am so so sorry to hear about Mark's passing. It's been a lot of years since I've seen Mark, but he definitely impacted my life during high school at T.L. We had some good times. He was quite the character. I wish you and your family peace in this tough time.

Although I lost contact with Mark for many years as we grew older and went our separate ways in life, he was a very big part of my younger years. We were the best of friends and we were always together when we were very young, either hanging out at the TL rec center, playing ball or just passing the time in the summer months.
Since we looked alike, everyone thought we were brothers and in my mind he was as close or closer to me than my own brothers.
I will miss Mark and the times that we shared together in our youth.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ knows and understands the Doty families grief.
We can be happy for Mark if we understand where he is now and what he is doing in the capable hands of our Lord and his tender mercies are with all who have faith in Him.
