David Clark Freeman

David Clark Freeman was born Tuesday, October 27, 1953, in Stockton, CA and died Tuesday, July 12, 2011. He was 57. He grew up and went to school in Santa Rosa, graduating from Montgomery High School. He attended Sonoma State University, graduating in 1976 with a degree in education. He moved to Oregon in 1976. In the mid-1980s, David began a career in the car business alongside his father, Thomas C. Freeman, eventually becoming dealer and majority owner of Armstrong Buick VW in Gladstone, OR. He married Jan Worlein in 1985. They lived in Tualatin and Newberg, OR, and divorced in 2009. He married Lyuda Zhylko August 27, 2010. They made their home in Newberg, OR. He was an ardent Giants fan and coached Little League. David enjoyed gardening, the beauty of nature, and jogging. He loved animals, especially cats. Surviving and left to honor his life are wife, Lyuda; mother Betty Freeman, Santa Rosa; son Michael Freeman, Tualatin, OR; daughter Tracy Marin of Beaverton, OR; brothers Steve Freeman of Novato and Mark Freeman of Santa Rosa; grandchild Avery Martin, and those who lived and worked with him, who have come to know and appreciate him. His father Thomas Freeman preceded him in death. David's memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 23, 2011 at Joyful Servant Lutheran Church, Newberg, OR, with Pastor Gene Hockett officiating.
