Carl Wreden Obituary

Born in Los Angeles, CA, Nov. 8, 1930, Speed passed peacefully on July 16, 2010. After obtaining a degree in Marine Engineering, Speed enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as a Boiler Officer on the USS Redova post Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1956. Speed had a love for the ocean as he spent his young adulthood racing sailboats off the coast of Santa Barbara. His career as a salesman brought him many enjoyable years working for Armstrong Floor Covering and Zenith Corporation while raising his family in Novato, CA. He is survived by his sister Jeanne Ryder; children Diana O'Brien, Rorie Walden, Mark, Scott, Carl, Jennifer, David, Kurt, Julie Mund, Christine Oliver, Janet Alexander and 19 grandchildren.
