HELEN STYCZYNSKI Obituary



STYCZYNSKI, HELEN - passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born in Paulsboro and lived in both Newark and Irvington prior to moving to Brick in 1969. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Joseph Styczynski and her brother, Walter Lukas. She is survived by her son, Edward Styczynski of Brick and her loving grandchildren, Laura Canavera (Michael) of Ewing and Jill Sharra of Egg Harbor. She leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren, Danielle and Carina Sharra and Nicholas Canavera. She is also survived by her brother, Jerome Lukas of N.Y. and sister-in-law, Ann Lukas of Toms River. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Helen always looked forward to the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to play bingo and listening to Country and Western music as well as a good polka. She was first a homemaker but enjoyed the years spent working for both F.W. Woolworth and The Fashion Bug. Friends may call on Sunday, 3-6 PM at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home - 885 Mantoloking Rd in Brick. Funeral service will be held on Monday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Helen's memory to the Ewing Public Education Foundation, P.O. Box 7033, Ewing, N.J. 08628
