Even though I had not been in touch with Karen for many years memories of her impish way with words and her love of animals remain very fresh in my mind. She has been much on mind recently and I had resolved to get back in touch when I return to NJ this summer. I learned much from her about laughter, animals and not taking myself (or life) too seriously. I share your sorrow at her loss.

Howard and Family;

I was truely sorry to learn of the recent death of your daughter Karen. You probably won't remember me, but you helped me train my golden (Major) and my red dobbie (Jinx)many years ago. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
God Bless!

I am so heartfelt and sad of the loss of Karen. We were in elementary school together and she was one of those special people then and I know she blossomed into a beautiful and loving adult. She was one of those kind of people that had an aura around her and you knew she was truly caring and loving. My heart is with her family and all in the world who was touched by her beautiful light and God has a lovely angel at his side to guide and watch over us all.

Howard, Lil, & Rich,
Words fail to discribe the depth of my sorrow after learning of Karen's passing. Her effervescent personality shone on all she met. I recall the many laughs we shared, her brilliant wit, her first published poem. She was all about what is good in this world. My heartfelt sympathies and love go out to all.

Howard,
My deepest sympathy to you and your wife on the loss of Karen. I will always remember her loving manner and her sweet disposition. She had a calmness about her that attracted the trust of the creatures she loved and trained. I will always remember her helping to train my Petunia and more recently, Bebe.
