TARIQ DAVIS Obituary
DAVIS, TARIQ TYRELL "RIQ" 26 - of Galloway, departed this life and went home to be with The Lord on March 14, 2013. Born in Atlantic City to Latrece and Robert Davis, he attended the local public schools. Throughout his youth he was affiliated with the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and lately he attended The Ark of Safety Word Ministry. "RIQ" was honorable, humble, humorous and hard-working and tried to set a good example for other young people. A Construction Worker and a Dietary Aide, he was lastly employed by GFS Construction Co. and Eastern Pines Convalescent Center. Surviving are: a loving wife, Shakera Davis; beloved daughter, Malayjah Monai-Madaline Davis and beloved son, Milan Mykehl Davis, all of Galloway; loving parents, Latrece and Robert A. Davis, both of AC; beloved sister, Samirah Davis; beloved brothers, Marshall and Hakim Davis; beloved maternal-grandparents, Marvella and Ray Gibbs; sisters-in-law,Artavia Norris and Keionna Robbins; brother-in-law, Adam Davis; mother and father-in-law, Bernette and Kevin Robbins; a grandmother-in-law whom he called, "his girl", Anna Mae Hart and a host of other loving relatives and many friends. A memorial service of precious memories will be held on Sat., March 23, 2013 at 12:30pm at Mikal's Funeral Parlor, 30 N. Pennsylvania Ave. For further info, please call Mikals(609-344-1131)

My heart goes out to the family and his children. Tariq will be missed so much I remember him and his sister and brothers would hang out with the "GFC" crew at "West side Groceries day and night till closing, he was always a sweetheart and a hard worker indeed!!! I worked with Tariq and his grandfather for the past three years. He was a good man. Very humble & respectful. He was always nice & had a good sense of humor. He will be missed. My prayers are with his family. RIP

As a parent, I could not have asked for a better friend for my son. Riq evolved into a great young man. His smile and hugs always melted my heart.
