Ernest Haskins Obituary

Mr. Ernest Haskins of 10806 Old Stage Road, Prince George, Va., departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Hopewell Health Care Center, Hopewell, Va.

He was a native of Prince George County, Va., where he was raised by his parents, Deacon Chester Louis Haskins and Elsie Mae Haskins. Ernest was baptized at Mount Hope Baptist Church in Prince George County. Prior to his return to Prince George County, Ernest was a resident of Fairfax County, Va.

He leaves his three daughters, Jennifer Haskins (Raymond Jones) of Prince George County, Va., Angela Jones of Henrico County, Va. (Russell Jones), Sabrina Nelson (Gregory Nelson) of Hampton, Va.; two grandsons, Alexander Jones of Prince George County, Va., and Ethan Jones of Henrico County, Va.; aunt, Corrine Crockett of New York City; and a host of cousins and friends.

A very special thanks goes to Regina James Myrick, LaShonda Chambers, Irene Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Benny Jones, Bernelle Taylor, Emily Taylor, and Thomas Taylor.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at the chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va., Minister Braunda Ridley, eulogist.
