Willie Brown Obituary

Mr. Willie Frank Brown Jr., 56, of Courtland, Va., was born on Jan. 25, 1954, to the late Willie Frank Brown Sr. and Eva Mae Winfield Brown in Prince George, Va. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth A. Brown.

"Junior or Screwball," as he was affectionately known by both family and friends, departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Envoy of Stratford Hills in Richmond, Va.

He was educated in the Sussex County Public School System and was a truck driver for Burgess Trucking of Sedley, Va., for more than 20 years.

In his pastime, he enjoyed spending countless hours with his children and loved ones. He was never to be seen driving a dirty vehicle, for he was always putting a fresh coat of wax on his truck and shining his rims. He was a fan of wrestling, car racing and tractor pulls, which he often enjoyed with his son. His hobbies included assembling model cars and watching TV, especially Westerns and Richard Pryor comedies.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two children, Sherry Nicole Young of Silver Spring, Md., and Kelvin Michael Parker of Waverly, Va.; three aunts, Hazel Boose (William) of Petersburg, Va., Ernell Winfield of Courtland, Va., and Josephine Winfield of Waverly, Va.; one uncle, George Winfield (Joyce) of Courtland, Va.; a great-aunt, Martha Cooper of Pennsylvania; one sister-in-law, Juanita Brown of Courtland, Va.; a loving and devoted friend of many years, Mary Parker of Waverly, Va.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Mt. Moriah United Church of Christ, 12499 Old Forty Road , Waverly, Va.; the Rev. Shelton A. Smith, pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow at the church cemetery.
