Eloise M. Fuentes

Mrs. Eloise Morgan Fuentes, 65, of 12515 Ruth Hill Road, Church Road, Va., departed this life Friday, Nov. 25, 2010, at the Southside Regional Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 8, 1945, in Dinwiddie County, Va., to the late Robert Malone and Mildred V. Morgan. At an early age she confessed Christ and became a member of the Mt. Poole Baptist Church, Ford, Va. She spent most of her adult life in Brooklyn, N.Y. She then moved back to be with her family in Virginia.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Rikisha Gholson (Rodenna)of Long Island, N.Y., Vincent Friend (Olivia) of Ford and Terence Funetes of New York; a devoted caretaker and aunt with whom she resided, Queen Morgan Finney (Charles) of Church Road; grandchildren, Cavante Fuentes, Keyanna Blackwell, Quinton Blackwell, Zyquain Finney, Alexis Fuentes, Ziara Fuentes and Qiara Fuentes, Travis Creighton; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Maranda Payne, Sherri Malone, Tracey Parker (Tyman); brothers, Stanley Malone (Rochele) of Lynchburg, Robert Malone (Brenda), Calvin Malone (Selma), Kenneth Dayne (Lea); aunts, Ruth Malone Harris, Emma Evans, Pattie Clark and Carrie Hamlett; one uncle, Archer Malone (Joyce). She is also survived by her husband, Luciano Fuentes of Puerto Rico, and several extended members of the Fuentes family.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at the Mount Poole Baptist Church, Ford, with the pastor, the Rev. Stephen Pugh, officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m. on the day of the service. Viewing will be held at the McKenney Chapel from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.
