Donald Robbins Obituary
He was the son of the late Marvin Earl and Susie Leslie Swain Robbins, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Max Ray; two nephews, Larry and Kenny Robbins; two nieces, Jane Hamilton and Debbie Ellis. Mr. Robbins attended Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights.
He is survived by a sister, Glenda McCabe of Chester; nephews, Bobby McCabe and wife, Mimi, of Chester, Donny McCabe and wife, Bobbie, of Chester, Larry McCabe and wife, Karen, of Chester, Greg Robbins and wife, Shirley, of Tennessee, Max Robbins and wife, Celeste, of Norfolk, Va., Danny Robbins and wife, Donna, of Durham, N.C.; nieces; Pat Robbins and husband, Danny, of Richmond, Lorraine Peace of Midlothian; and a good friend, Jerry Rhodes of Chester.
The family will receive friends 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, and where a funeral service will be he held at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Geoghegan officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2010, in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Wilmington, N.C. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.

I'm sorry to hear about "Uncle Donald's" passing but I know he is in a much better place. I love that I got to know him a little bit - neat ole' fellow.

Dear Glenda, Pat and family:
There are no words to describe how sorry and sad I am to hear of Donald's passing. I thought the world of him. I will never forget the times we shared together and all the stories he would tell me (certainly about the sandhills of North Carolina). Donald was such a special man and he taught me a lot. I know he is smiling down on us from heaven, so happy to be reunited with loved ones that went before him. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
