Dorothy Newcome Obituary

Dorothy Bell Newcome, 78, of Chesterfield, passed away on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Charles G. and Nora Bennett Hepler, the widow of F.R. Newcome Sr., and was preceded in death by four brothers, Jim Myers, Tommy, Wilbur and Elmer Hepler; and one great-grandson, Tommy Stearns.

Mrs. Newcome is survived by three daughters, Linda Stearns and husband, Junior, Evelyn Wright and husband, Wayne, and Elsie "Cory" Palmore; a son, F.R. "Bugs" Newcome Jr. and wife, Teresa; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, with the Rev. James Pfost officiating, with the funeral procession leaving the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
