Betty Currin Obituary
She was born in Farmville, Va., the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruby Taylor. Mrs. Currin was an outstanding wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School and member of Grace Lutheran Church for 40 years.
Mrs. Currin is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, C.F. "Sonny" Currin; four sons, Carthan Floyd Currin III of Richmond, Va., William Bradley Currin and wife, Stephanie of Chester, Christopher Kent Currin and wife, Shannon of Manakin Sabot, and Alan Daniel Currin of Chester; a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Currin; a brother, T.W. Taylor of Chesterfield, Va.; and a sister-in-law, Rose Marie Anderson of Tampa, Fla.
The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Chester. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 , Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital at P. O. box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis TN 38148-0142. Condolences to the family may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

I just found out today about Betty's passing. I enjoyed every moment spent with her and loved her wit and sense of humor. Betty will always hold a special place in my heart-I will miss my friend.

She was always so sweet, kind and supportive of us Goodloe kids. We will miss her terribly, as you will, but she touched us all in her own special way.
