Charles Myers Obituary
He was the son of the late Charles and Almeda Coughenour Myers. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Myers, and two sisters, Betty Hickle and Linda Burley.
Mr. Myers served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Hercules after 39 years of service and was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna J. Myers; his sons, Rodney Myers and his wife, Frances, and Dr. Eric Myers and his wife, Lisa; five grandchildren, Jason, Wesley, Elizabeth, AnnaScott, Sarah; one great-grandchild, Kailyn Myers; and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at the J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service Hopewell Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, with interment to follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 502 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
