Dear Chris, velvet, and family I am so sorry to learn of your Fathers passing. I met Bubba about 20 years ago while I was out knocking on doors trying to find some one who would allow this city boy some where to hunt. we had been knocking on doors all weekend with no luck when my friend jeff said come on one more house and that house was Horaces, after talking with him for an hour I think he felt sorry for us and gave us permission to hunt his property and our friendship began.over the years, I had many chance to speak with Bubba and no how matter how busy he was he always took the time to talk and ask about my family.he was good and kind man and honestly I cant believe he"s gone. chris,Velvet,ann-garland, and family may God bless you and guide you through this sad time

Dear Vicki and Chris,
Just learned moments ago of you loss and wished we could have been with you during today's celebration of life. Dads" are special in so many ways but mostly, because they are our best friend. Having lost our Dads many years ago, Carol and I truly understand your emptiness. It is our wish that God will grant you strength and assurance that he is now in the arms of "His Heavenly Maker". Our love and prayers are with you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear of Horace's death, I met him last May in Surry for the first time. Horace was my chance to prove my connection to the Surry Co., King family. He agreed to have dna ran and we found that we matched 37 of 37 markers. He was indeed from the same family from whom I descend. I owe him so much for allowing me to pursue this. I extend my sincerest condolences to Horaces family, it is quite a loss. My heart goes out to all of you. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. Horace was a great person and willing to give anyone a chance. I speak from experience because there was a time when my kids were small and we rented from him. He went out of his way to help us and was so sweet and kind to my kids. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
