Selestene Denny Obituary

Selestene Hunter Denny, 79, formerly of 109 Beckworth Drive, Taylors, S.C., widow of Duane J. Denny, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at the National Healthcare of Mauldin.

A native of Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Velvia Hunter Stallings, a retired employee of Stone Manufacturing and member of Mauldin First Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Debbie O'Barr and her husband, Terry of Taylors, S.C., Sharon Voit and her husband, Reinhard, of Gastonia, N.C., and Janis D. Brown and her husband, Donnie, of Simpsonville, S.C.; four grandchildren, Whitney Abatte, Tracy Mauch, Christopher Voit and Justin Voit, and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Hoffman, Ashley Hoffman and "J.J." Jonathan Mauch Jr.

She was also predeceased by a grandchild, Tina Hoffman.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mauldin First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Wade Leonard. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family is at their respective homes. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, S.C. 29605 or the American Lung Association, 84 Villa Road, B-2, Greenville, S.C. 29615.
