ALGIE HARRIS Obituary
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Griffin Harris and Algie Linwood Harris, Sr., and his three sisters, Ruth Walker, Barbara Dean and JoAnn Patterson.
Algie loved the Washington Redskins, fishing, cookouts, and dancing, but must of all he loved his family and friends.
Left to cherish and celebrate, his devoted wife, Julie Harris; daughter, Tasha Walton (Dee); sons, Algie ""Johnny"" Harris III (Lavesta), Bryant Harris, Aubrey Harris, Anthony Winston and Michael Winston; grandchildren, Tee, Sadé, Mike Jr., Alex, Keymeira, Madison, and Jasmine; sisters, Pauline Bonner (Jerry), Lois Trotter, Margie Stith, and Gloria Butler; brother-in-law, Joseph Dean, Kim Dance (Betty), and Steven Bonner (Lisa); devoted friend, Charles Mason and James Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services for Mr. Algie L. Harris, Sr. will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at First Baptist Church, 25720 Greensville Avenue, Petersburg, Va., the Rev. Dr. Peter R. Jeffrey, pastor, eulogist. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
