DORIS SASSO Obituary
She was born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Joaquim) Corneau and had lived most of her life in the city and had also lived in Florida for 7 years before moving to Cumberland in 1998. Mrs. Sasso had been employed as a sales clerk for the former Shartenberg's, and also worked as an assembler at Hasbro and Superior Plastic.
She leaves a daughter, Joyce Gillis of Cumberland, 2 sons, Antonio F. Sasso Jr. of Kansas City MO. and Ret. CF Police Chief Robert E. Sasso, now RI Deputy Sherriff, of Coventry; 2 sisters, Pauline Fortier of Johnston and Claire Turgeon of Smithfield and 2 brothers, Paul Corneau of TX. and Roland Corneau of Fl. She also leaves 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday at 8;45 AM from the CHARLES COELHO Funeral Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd. Cumberland at 10 AM. VISITATION, Monday, 4-8 PM. Interment will be in the RI Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd. Ste. 1. East Providence.
